After 8 years of marriage, the couple took to social media to officially announce that they are legally separating.
The two met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007. Anna was then married to Ben Indra, but they soon separated and Faris and Pratt started dating. In 2008 Pratt proposed to Faris and the two actor duo tied the knot in Bali on July 9. In August 2012 they welcomeג their son Jack Pratt to the family.
The two have been forthcoming with the media sharing how deep their love is to one another. In a 2015 Reddit AMA Chris said that “Anna and [him] are meant to be together,” and that [their] relationship has made [him] believe in divine intervention and destiny….”
Faris has been vocal about the difficulties she was experiencing due to the media picking apart her relationship. She told PEOPLE earlier this month saying that it can get real tricky being a celebrity couple. This Sunday Anna tweeted: “We are sad to announce we are legally separating.We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
