Dave Rowntree, Blur drummer, has been elected as a Labour Councillor in Norfolk.
Britpop musician was elected in England’s local elections on May 4 after winning 59% of the vote. He wrote on Twitter, describing himself as “delighted and humbled”.
He also spoke to BBC News where he said his “music side was on hold” right now.
“Blur are not doing anything this year as a band. We tend to do things when something interesting comes along. No-one else from Blur is running for county council but you never know. We are an unpredictable lot.”
