Chloe Moretz Makes Her Return to Hollywood

While she’s only 20-years-old, Chloe Grace Moretz has actually been acting for 15 years.

After taking a year off from Hollywood events and red carpets, she is back with a bang, making a grand entrance at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event in L.A. on Tuesday. Moritz spoke with ET saying that her landing of the Variety cover is really meaningful.

The actress’ Variety interview made headlines as she told that at the age of 15, she was body-shamed on set by a male co-star while filming together. Even though this experience was beyond difficult for the young star, she shared with ET that “[her] career is worth it every day, and no matter what the hardships are, it makes it worth it.”

Seems that this year gave Moretz time to think things over saying that she now knows more about herself and what she wants to convey to people. This also means that she’ll be more picky when it comes to picking out future roles: “I think its easy when you work a lot to kind of just do things habitually, and you just want to work because your used to working, and you work and work and work, and you kind of sit and stop for a second,” she said. “The dust settles [and] you kind of look around and go, Well, what am I proud of, and what have I done that really I can look at and say that’s something that represents who Chloe Moretz is?”

The young actress is looking to become a role model for young women in Hollywood, telling Variety that now it’s about making the right decisions and choosing projects that truly represent her.
