Duffer Brothers Tease New Character and Location with “Stranger Things 2” Script Pages

There’s no doubt the second season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, is one of TV’s most anticipated returns this fall.

The second installment of the series takes us back to 1984 Hawkins, Indiana and to the core gang: Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp), who will be dealing with PTSD visions of the Upside Down.

Creators, Matt and Ross Duffer gave EW an exclusive peak at an annotated script for the upcoming season, featuring the gang’s new hang out, a local arcade called The Palace. The reveal also includes the introduction of one of the second season’s most important new characters, Max (Sadie Sink).

The two also hinted to last season’s biggest cliffhanger, which already revealed that things are probably not going to be normal after Will was rescued from the Upside down.

“‘Focus our attention on Will’ is really a sign of things to come this season, as our main storyline centers on Will and his recovery. Just because Will was rescued from the Upside Down doesn’t mean he’s safe…”

Season 2 of Stranger Things premieres October 27.
