Jim Carrey to Star in new Showtime Comedy “Kidding”

Jim Carrey is heading back to TV. Showtime’s new comedy Kidding, will be the first small screen gig for the two-time Golden Globe winner since he starred on Living in Color.

The show will reunite 55-year-old Carrey with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director and Oscar winner Michel Gondry, as the half-hour episodes will explore the tumultuous family life of a children’s TV host.

Carrey is already working with Showtime. He is currently the executive producer for the recently renewed series I’m Dying Up Here, which is set in the ’70s Los Angeles comedy scene and explores on the pressures comedians face to put on a good performance – struggles that a comic like Carrey know all too well.

The premiere date has yet to be annoyed, however, it has been reported that a ten episode order by the network has been made.
