Lauren Conrad and William Tell Welcome Their First Child

Lauren Conrad  and her husband, William Tell, have welcomed their first baby boy, named Liam James.

The former Hills star announced the happy news on Instagram, writing, “He’s here! We’re so excited to welcome Liam James Tell into the world!”

Their bundle of joy was born Wednesday, July 5 in the afternoon, weighing 6lbs., 14oz., according to People who was the first to report Conrad’s delivery.

“We are thrilled to share that we welcomed our son Liam James Tell into our family,” the couple told People. “Mom, Dad and baby are doing well. We’re already in love!”

Conrad and Tell started dating in February 2014 and they tied the knot in September 2014 at a boutique winery in Santa Ynez, California.

The 31-year-old reality TV star shared her pregnancy news on Instagram on New Year’s Day, showing a photo of a sonogram with caption, “Happy New Year! I have a feeling 2017 is going to be the best year yet …”

“I see our lives changing,” Conrad told People in early June. “I think you don’t know until you’re there. I have very nice friends who are attempting to prepare me, but everybody does it differently.”

” … It’s going to be a lot less sleep, so that’ll be an adjustment, but we’re excited,” she added.

“I really wanted a boy,” the fashion designer told Fit Pregnancy and Baby July issue. “My husband kept saying, ‘We just want a healthy baby.’ And I’d say, ‘But a boy would be nice!’ ”

“I was a wild little tomboy, so I think I understand boys. My mom always told me that nobody loves you like a son does, especially when he’s young,” she explained why she prefers a boy.

As she awaited her baby’s arrival, Conrad’s been busy with her fashion business. Her latest collection, LC Lauren Conrad Maternity, debuted online and in Kohl’s stores nationwide on June 7, according to E! News.

“I was so excited to do this category, but I wanted to wait until I felt confident designing, like I had experienced maternity as a category myself,” Conrad said. “It was really nice to go in to this while I was trying to figure out my own maternity style, so I really wanted to make sure that the aesthetic of this line was very cohesive with the existing LC Lauren Conrad collection.”
