Mila Kunis On Parenthood, Work, Post-baby Body and New Christmas Traditions

Mila Kunis sat with ET to promote her upcoming Bad Moms sequel, A Bad Moms Christmas. During the interview, the 34-year-old actress opened up about her first year as a mother of two, new family tradition and her post-baby body.

Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher are parents to 3-year-old daughter Wyatt and son Dimitri, whose first birthday is coming up. Kunis admitted that even though she sometimes feels like a bad mom in real life, she’s mostly kept busy trying to balance work and parenthood.

“I’m a little bit less stressed over what to anticipate,” explained Kunis. “You’re still stressed out and there’s still the idea of the guilt of leaving your kids, but you know that they’ll be OK. Because I’ve already done it once and the kid doesn’t resent me, so I was like, ‘OK, I think I can do this.’”

Kunis explains that life as a working mom is much easier when you can have your family join you at work. Describing her family as a “mobile tribe” she was absolutely thrilled to have her family nearby while shooting the sequel in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kunis and Kutcher are working hard to raise open-minded children, saying candidly that they are “not gonna raise a**holes. There’s enough a**holes in this world! We don’t need to contribute. But, you know, there’s some nice people.”

The former That ‘70s Show star told ET that maintaining a post-baby body took plenty of effort saying that it involves “lots of gym-ing.” Of the family’s holiday traditions she said that accepting holidays into their household is really about being with family and having fun while “building up our own little versions of tradition.”

“So far, our tradition is no presents for the kids,” she says. “We’re instituting it this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn’t really matter. Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two and it was too much.” So the new tradition according to Kunis and Kutcher is one gift, and the rest goes to “a charitable donation.”

A Bad Moms Christmas, which also stars Susan Sarandon, Christine Baranski and Cheryl Hines as well as returning co-stars Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn hits theaters on November 3.
