Would-Be Robber Left Hanging when Bank Teller Walks Away

PONTIAC, Michigan. – Police are on the lookout for a man suspected for unsuccessfully attempting to rob a Pontiac bank by handing a note ordering a bank teller to hand over cash.

The event occurred at 12:21 p.m. Friday when police responded to reports of an attempted robbery at the PNC Bank on North Perry Street near Glenwood Avenue. Bank employees told cops that a man walked into the branch and handed a teller a note implying that he had a gun, and wanted cash handed over.

How did the teller respond? Well, the teller simply got up and walked away, leaving the man to flee the bank empty handed.

Police tried to track the man with a K-9 unit but were unsuccessful so far.
