A 37-year-old woman from Nashville was arrested on Sunday after filing a false report after her husband refused to get her ice cream, Komonews reports.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to the woman’s home after she called 911 to report that her husband had “punched her in the face”. When they arrived however, they discovered there was no violence when the husband explained that his wife was angry because she demanded he to fetch her ice cream from the shop but he refused, citing being tired from working all day as the reason.
The woman admitted to the officers that indeed she had not been assaulted, but wanted police there so her husband would “calm down.”
A responding officer says he told the woman that filing a false police report is a crime, and that she would be placed under arrest. At first, she asked to use the bathroom, as was permitted to do as long as the door was remained a bit ajar. Police say that a couple of minutes later they heard a window opening followed by a loud when the woman had apparently jumped out of her bathroom window and attempting to flee scene.
She was later captured and jailed for filing a false report and evading arrest at Davidson County Police Dept.
