2018 Met Gala Was the Most Epic One to Date

This year’s Met Gala did not disappoint!

The 2018 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual gala was epic. The glamorous evening drew out a slew of A-listers who hit the red carper clad in their wildest styles. This year’s theme “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” definitely inspired more than a few fabulously unorthodox looks. Serving as co-chairs for what could be considered as the fashion Oscars were Amal Clooney, thee human rights attorney, Rihanna, the pop icon and Donatella Versace, high-fashion designer. The three fashionistas oversaw the event alongside Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief.

Rihanna stunned in one of her best looks to date wearing strapless, pearl-and-crystal embellished Margiela Artisanal gown by John Galliano. She completed the look with a head piece evocative of the pope’s mitre. No doubt Riri did a fab job sticking to the evening’s theme perfectly combining fashion and religion iconography.

Katy Perry hit the red carpet in her most memorable Met Gala look ever. Her interpretation to the night’s theme resulted her in sporting custom-made angel wings. The huge piece was paired with a gold Versace minidress and matching thigh-high boots. The 33-year-old singer continued to turn heads as she posed on the Met’s famous stairs in full character on her knees.

Kim Kardashian also opted for gold and look absolutely fierce. The reality TV star played the theme perfectly wearing a floor-length Versace gown that featured two embellished crosses. Kim completed her look with dramatic eye makeup and a diamond cross necklace.

The queen of NYC fashion also hit the annual Gala looking more fabulous than ever dressed in an extravagant golden Dolce & Gabbana gown with a corset top and a flowing train. She of course completed the look with an outstanding headpiece that featured a miniature nativity scene inside a decorated golden chapel.
