After several major delays, the Primetime Emmy Awards finally returned to LA on Monday night, and gave us another night to remember! HBO’s Succession and FX’s The Bear emerged as the top winners of the night, walking away with six awards each.
The final season of Succession was the biggest winner of the night with six wins, including outstanding drama series. Its stars Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Matthew Macfadyen collected trophies for their respective performances, while the hit episode “Connor’s Wedding” won awards for outstanding writing and directing for a drama series.
The rookie season of the FX dramedy The Bear dominated the comedy field with six awards, starting with outstanding comedy series. Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri were honored in the acting categories, while Christopher Storer picked up two more Emmys for outstanding writing and directing for a comedy series.
It was also a big night for Netflix’s Beef, which walked away with five Emmys, starting with the award for outstanding limited or anthology series.
