If we had to pick a single TV trend ruling the world right now, grifter dramas would make the cut. Many of the spring’s most talked-about shows reimagined the tale of true-life scammers who captured international attention in the past few years and here are three that you should watch ASAP.

The Dropout

Elizabeth Holmes was named the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire thanks to the roller-coaster success of her blood-testing company Theranos, but she didn’t get to keep that title for too long. Her company tanked after she failed to deliver on her promises and this series starring Amanda Seyfried chronicles its downfall.

WeCrashed

WeWork was once a promising startup disrupting the real estate scene with their shared co-work spaces until it all came crashing down. This mini-series, starring Oscar-winners Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, follows the rise and fall of this company and its eccentric co-founder Adam Neumann.

Inventing Anna
