A “Power Rangers” Reboot is in the Works

Paramount is in talks with The End of the F***ing World creator to revive the popular ’90s TV series Power Rangers. 

The popular franchise about a group of kids who become superheroes is set to make its comeback as a feature film.

The studio, which recently acquired the rights to the franchise, is looking to the Jonathan Entwistle, best known for the hit Netflix series. Should the project move forward, Paramount has also enlisted Patrick Burleigh, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway scribe, to pen the script. 

The first Power Rangers movie hit theaters in 1995. It was followed by the latest Power Rangers feature (2017) which did miserably in the box office earring only $142 million worldwide on a budget of $100 million.
