Real-life husband and wife Adam Brody and Leighton Meester will play former lovers on screen.
Multiple outlets report that The O.C. and Gossip Girl alums will finally star together on the small screen with Adam Brody set to make a guest-star appearance on Meester’s show Single Parents.
Brody will play Derek, a musician who loved and left Meester’s character years ago. But when Will (Taran Killam) convinces her to track him down and finally say her piece, it does not go well.
Meester gushed about Brody’s upcoming appearance on the show Wednesday, telling Entertainment Tonight, “The last episode is going to have somebody that I know really well. He is going to be on the show, and it was kind of like, maybe best case scenario, maybe someday he could be on the show. And then now he’s gonna be on the show!” she teased. “His name is Adam Brody!”
Brody and Meester are best known for her their roles as Seth Cohen and Blaire Blair Waldorf on The O.C and Gossip Girl. The two have been married for 5 years and have a 3-year-old daughter, Arlo.
