Adriana Lima has walked her last runway as a Victoria Secret Angel.
The 37-year-old model has bid farewell to the lingerie brand walking her last runway during the 2018 Victoria Secret Fashion Show, which took place at Pier 94 in New York City Thursday.
The Brazilian model was an Angel for twenty years and walked in a total of eighteen of their fashion shows. She first walked for the lingerie brand in 1999 and was chosen to wear the Fantasy Bra three times. Backstage before the show, she told Entertainment Tonight:
“It’s my 18th Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and throughout the years I thought that I would get more relaxed and less anxious. “But I’m still nervous and I’m still anxious about it. It doesn’t go away.”
Joining her for her final walk for the very first time were her daughters Sienna (6) and Valentina (8).
“My children will be here tonight. It’s going to be the first time watching the show. I can’t wait to see their reaction… I want to represent myself well under the eyes of my children. I hope I will make them happy.”
Lima thanked VS sharing a highlight reel of the best moments of her Angel career. She captioned the video with, “Dear Victoria, Thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly. And all the ❤️ to the best fans in the 🌎! Love, Adriana 💖”
For her final look and the closing look of the show, Lima wore beige lingerie with a silver bejeweled top, feathered heels and white peacock feather wings. At the end of the runway, she blew a kiss to the camera and then held her hands on her chest and thanked her audience as she held back tears.
