“Aladdin” is Officially Will Smith’s Highest-Grossing Movie

Will Smith has just set a new career record. 

The recently released Aladdin live-action remake is officially the highest-grossing movie of Smith’s career. The remake of the 1992 animated classic, overtook Independence Day the now-former title holder of the star’s biggest film ever globally.

Smith was so moved that he took the time to thank his fans in a video he shared on Instagram over the weekend.

“This is a post that I’m just humbled and honored to make right now….To be in this game as long as I’ve been in this game and to have my biggest movie at this point of my career, I just want to say thank you,” shared the 50-year-old actor before proceeding to say thank you in more than a dozen languages. “Just thank you, everybody, around the world, thank you, thank you. Who I miss?”

Aladdin has hauled more than $875 million worldwide.
