Alec Baldwin has been cast as Colonel Jessup in NBC’s A Few Good Men. This is the same role Jack Nicholson played in 1992’s movie titled the same, when he won an Oscar for his “You can’t handle the truth!” role.
Aaron Sorkin, the author of the drama, shared a statement which The Hollywood Reporter published:
“Alec is one of our greatest actors. Having him play this role — live onstage for a television audience — is a dream come true. This will be a brand-new take on Nathan Jessup, and I expect that Alec is going to bust through TV screens and right into living rooms.”
A Few Good Men will air in late 2018 as the first live production of a Broadway drama on television in over 50 years.
