Amazon Studios Buys Kristen Stewart’s “Against All Enemies”

Amazon has just nabbed Kirsten Stewart’s Against All Enemies straight out of the Berlin Film Festival.

Variety reports that the studio has acquired the independent political thriller starring Stewart as Jean Seberg.

This is the latest purchase in Amazon Studio’s buying spree, following its buying five film out of the Sundance Film Festival market. The studio’s move for the indie was made after viewing a promotional reel only.

Against All Enemies is inspired by the real-life events of the FBI’s attempts to discredit Seberg, French New Wave darling, because of her romantic involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal and her support of the Black Panther Party.

The film also stars Jack O’Connell, Anthony Mackie, Colm Meaney, Margaret Qualley, Vince Vaughn, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Root and Yvan Attal. O’Connell is set to play an FBI agent and Mackie will portray a civil rights activist Jamal.

Against All Enemies is currently in post-production.
