The hit singing competition has been renewed for season 4.

Multiple outlets report that ABC has ordered another season of American Idol but the network has yet to reveal whether the judges — Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, as well as host Ryan Seacrest, are set to return.

The renewal and a fourth season of the talent contest will bring the total number of seasons for the format to 19 having previously aired on Fox between 2002-2016.

The show is currently airing its third season on the network after having returned from the COVID-19 shutdown on April 26 with remotely produced episodes. The season’s live finale will air tonight.
