Anne Hathaway is delving into the world of French pregnancy and parenthood.

The actress will star in a new adaptation of French Children Don’t Throw Food, currently in development at StudioCanal.

The feature is based on Pamela Druckerman’s autobiography of the same name, which follows her real-life experience as a journalist in Paris dealing with pregnancy and parenthood.

The story follows Druckerman, who moves to Paris for her husband’s job and raises a family there. As she tries to figure out how to balance her family and career, she looks to uncover why the French have such well-behaved children. But everyone, no matter how perfect they might appear, has their own problems.

The latest version of the screenplay was penned by Jamie Minoprio and Jonathan Stern.

You can see Hathaway next in Robert Zemeckis’ The Witches.
