Anthony Anderson Returning to Host the NAACP Image Awards

The 50th annual NAACP Image Awards is coming our way in a few weeks, and we finally know who’s going to host them. Black-ish star Anthony Anderson will take on the responsibility for the sixth year in a row!

NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson couldn’t wait to share the amazing news with the public, since he knew how pleased everyone was with Anderson’s performance every time he hosted in the past.

“We are pleased to have Anthony as our host for our 50th anniversary. Anthony’s charisma on stage has won over our audience and continues to bring in new viewers every year,” said Johnson.

This year’s NAACP Image Awards will take place on March 30 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and will air live on TV One. This awards ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in television, music, literature and film, and always takes time to shed a light on individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.
