Ariana Grande Drops Music Video For “Thank U, Next”

Ariana Grande’s ‘”hank u, next” music video everyone going crazy for its bevy of pop culture references and its surprise Kris Jenner cameo!

Grande’s long-awaited video finally dropped Friday and fans simply can’t get enough. The music video for Grande’s single in which she name-checks ex-fiancé Pete Davidson and several of her other exes, including Big Sean and the late Mac Miller is here and its cinematic perfection.

The video includes countless references to beloved ’00s rom-coms.

Grande nods to Mean Girls channeling Regina George, originally played by Rachel McAdams. Reprising his role as dreamy Aaron Samuels is Jonathan Bennett. The nod included the iconic “Jingle Bell Rock” dance during which Kris Jenner made her spot-on interpretation of Mrs. George, originally Amy Poehler.

Grande then moves on to the cheerleading classic, Bring It On and recreates the teeth brushing scene opposite Matt Bennett.

Then, she transforms into Jennifer Garner’s Jenna Rink from 13 Going on 30, just in time to sing, “One day I’ll walk down the aisle, holdin’ hands with my mama / I’ll be thankin’ my dad, ’cause she grew from the drama.”

And then comes Elle Woods, where she recreates the famous “bend and snap” scene opposite Jennifer Coolidge. 

According to a rep from YouTube, “Ariana Grande broke YouTube records when she debuted her new music video, ‘thank u, next’ using YouTube’s Premiere feature. The video had 829K viewers watching simultaneously at peak which makes this video the biggest Premiere ever on YouTube.”

It seems fans and celebs alike couldn’t contain their excitement. Reese Witherspoon, tweeted, “Can we please talk about @ArianaGrande‘s Bend and Snap?! 10/10 nailed it!” while Mark Ruffalo wrote, “Having some Razzles (it’s a candy AND a gum) in your honor, @ArianaGrande!”
