She came up with the idea for this song during a rough day in NYC when they all went to Tiffany’s, got a little bit tipsy after drinking too much champagne and ended up buying matching rings.
Grande described this song as “a friendship anthem” and both the lyrics and the video reflect this sentiment. Some of her besties were even credited as songwriters, and Njomza was the one who first suggested to transform their adventure at Tiffany’s into this hip-hop-leaning tune we can’t get out of our head.
