Ashlee Simpson Ross and husband Evan opened up to Claudia Jordan on The Raw Word about having another baby for their growing family.
“I’d love more kids. We’re definitely having another one,” Evan revealed.
“I want to finish this album and then definitely, for sure,” Ashlee shared. “Definitely one more, and then we’ll see what happens after that.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, are parents to 2-year-old daughter Jagger, and 9-year-old son Bronx, from Ashlee’s previous marriage to Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz which lasted from 2008 to 2011.
The co-host asked them about raising their kids in the limelight. The couple themselves grew up in the spotlight as Evan’s mother is Diana Ross while Ashlee being the sister of Jessica Simpson. In addition, the 33-year-old pop star has released 3 albums, though the last one was done a decade ago.
“As long as you give your children love and they understand what’s going on in the world and have compassion, I think it’s not the hardest thing in the world,” Evan said.
Ashlee added,”And being a mom is my number one thing in life. Our kids are incredible.”
They said that Jagger already has her eyes set on following her famous grandmother’s footsteps.
“Bronx is creative and sweet and he’s got an old soul. And Jagger is the boss,” Ashlee explained. “She’s already like, ‘Give me the microphone and the shiny dresses and I am going to be [Grandma].”
“She loves her [Grandma]. She wants to dress in glitter,” she added.
Last November, Diana Ross brought her granddaughter when she received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 American Music Awards. It was a special event for the matriarch of the family surrounded by her children and grandkids.
“This is all about love,” Diana said in her acceptance speech. “This says it all. This is my family and I’m sending love out there to all of you.”
