“Atlanta” Season 2 Gets a Premiere Date and a Great New Title

Finally a premiere date for season two of Atlanta has been revealed.

After debuting in 2016, fans taste for another season has been insatiable. After a long wait due to Donald Glover’s portrayal of Lando Calrissian in Lucasfilm’s blockbuster hit Solo:A Star Wars Story, season two is finally ready to go and will premiere March 1st.

Another interesting reveal is that FX decided that the second season of the series will be titled Atlanta Robbin’ Season.

Executive producer Stephen Glover spoke to Variety at the cabler’s Television Critics Association press tour event about the upcoming 11 episode second season saying, “What we liked about Season 1, and what we got right, was we wanted to make it so each episode, you didn’t know what you were going to get. We wanted to keep people off-balance about what type of show it was, and we’re going to do more of that this season.”

Inspired by episodes of Tiny Toon Adventures’ “How I Spent My Summer Vacation” episodes, the second season will feature a very dangerous, uncertain time in the city. So everybody’s shaken up a little bit this year, and everybody has to make important decisions,” Stephen said and added that “Robbin’ Season is kind of like a metaphor for all of our characters.”
