Rapper Runs into Ocean to Avoid Dining Bill

An Australian rapper who racked up an impressive bill in a seafood restaurant, decided that running into the open waters was the best course of action in hopes of avoiding payment, a Queensland court has heard. Over the weekend, Australian Police set off in a jet ski water pursuit after the man, who’s bill amounted to over A$600 (£360, $450 USD).

33-year-old Terry Peck aka 2Pec, claimed he ran only to help a friend give birth on the beach. He has since been charged with theft and assault.

The 33-year-old appeared in court on Monday morning after the incident at Omeros Bros restaurant in Surfers Paradise on the east coast. He allegedly consumed two lobsters, a baby octopus, 21 vodka oyster shots and “a number of Coronas”.

“Oh God! By himself?” said magistrate Joan White when she granted bail, according to ABC News.

Peck, to his ‘defense’, later said the lobsters were overcooked.

“We pride ourselves on cooking our lobsters perfectly” Mark Hunnybun restaurant representative, told reporters in response to the excuse/criticism.
