]]>Past Lives was one of the front-runners for the best feature trophy, and it managed to live up to the high expectations. It faced tough competition in Passages, Reality, Showing Up, and A Thousand and One but eventually took this award home.
Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall was the only film to walk away with two accolades at this year’s Gotham Awards. It was named the best international feature, in addition to winning the trophy for the best screenplay.
Lily Gladstone (The Unknown Country) and Charles Melton (May December) won big in the acting field and picked up awards for outstanding lead and supporting performance, respectively.
Netflix’s limited series Beef collected two awards in the TV field, including breakthrough series under 40 minutes and outstanding performance in a new series (Ali Wong). It was closely followed by A Small Light, which was named the breakthrough series over 40 minutes.
The 2023 Gotham Awards took place on November 27 at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

]]>The Muppets Mayhem saw Dr. Teeth’s band The Electric Mayhem trying to finally record their first studio album 45 years after their inception. Dr. Teeth must navigate the crazy, contemporary music scene alongside his bandmates Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Janice, Lips, Zoot, Animal, and a young music executive Nora, who must deal with their madness.
Lilly Singh led the series as Nora, and she was joined by the Muppet performers Matt Vogel as Floyd, Bill Barretta as Dr. Teeth, Peter Linz as Lips, Dave Goelz as Zoot, David Rudman as Janice, and Eric Jacobson as Animal.
Jeff Yorkes, who developed this series for Disney+ alongside Adam F. Goldberg and Bill Barretta, bid farewell to The Muppets Mayhem on social media.
“What a long, strange trip it’s been! The highs (thanks Zoot!), the lows… A huge thank you to our loyal fans and viewers. I hope audiences continue to discover our little show and that it brings them some joy… and some Mayhem!! Rock on!!” he wrote on X, formally known as Twitter.

]]>Endless Summer Vacation is hitting the shelves on March 10, and Cyrus described it as her
“love letter to LA”, adding it allowed her to explore her journey toward building both physical and emotional strength.
Cyrus teased its release with the lead single “Flowers”, which hit the shelves on January 12. This chart-topping hit will serve as the album’s opening track, while the demo version of the same song is set to close it.
“Flowers” is currently Cyrus’ most successful song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Just this week, it returned to No. 1 for the sixth time, doubling the three-week rule of her previous chart leader “Wrecking Ball”.
In addition to “Flowers”, Endless Summer Vacation will feature such songs as “Rose Colored Lenses”, “Violet Chemistry”, “Wonder Woman”, and “Jaded”. The singer also teased two collaborations: “Thousand Miles” ft. Brandi Carlile and “Muddy Feet” ft. Sia.

]]>The Little Mermaid stars Halle Bailey, a young spirited mermaid and the youngest daughter of King Triton. After years of being fascinated with the human world, she strikes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula, and she must sacrifice her life under the sea for a chance to experience life on land that she’s always longed for.
The latest teaser trailer is just 30 seconds long and it sees Bailey performing a snippet from the song “Wish”. In addition to giving us another glimpse of the titular character, the new teaser also introduced us to Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
The supporting cast of The Little Mermaid will include Javier Bardem, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni, Lorena Andrea, and Simone Ashley, with Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, and Awkwafina. Rob Marshall, who found success with musicals Chicago, Into the Woods, and Mary Poppins Returns, was in charge of directing this live-action remake, set to premiere on May 26.

Harry Styles had to beat tough competition, including Adele, Bad Bunny, and Lizzo, to win the album of the year with Harry’s House. Lizzo missed out on this award, but still had a reason to celebrate after winning record of the year with “About Damn Time”.
Bonnie Raitt delivered one of the night’s most shocking moments when she won song of the year with “Just Like That”. Another surprise came in the best new artist category, with the jazz singer Samara Joy defeating Måneskin, Anitta, and Latto to win this award.
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards were held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, with Trevor Noah hosting the festivities for the third time.

]]>“All I Want For Christmas” returned to No. 1 for the third time this season alone, logging its 11th week atop the Hot 100. Its rise to prominence started in 2019, when it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time, 25 years after its original release.
“All I Want For Christmas” set the new record for the longest span for a song atop the Hot 100. It initially soared to No. 1 on December 21, 2019, and topped the chart on 11 occasions over the span of three years and one week, ending with December 31, 2022 chart.
Carey also extended her record for a total of weeks at No. 1 with 90 and wrote that she was “jumping up and down in the snow” from excitement after the news broke. It will take a while before someone breaks her record—the second-ranked Rihanna only has 60 weeks atop, followed by The Beatles with 59 and Drake with 54.

]]>The post Margot Robbie Transforms Into Barbie in the First Teaser appeared first on OMG Check It Out !.
]]>The one-minute-long teaser evokes Stanley Kubrick’s classic 2001: A Space Odyssey from the first frame to the last and opens with a voice-over from Helen Mirren herself, saying, “Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been dolls. But the dolls were always and forever baby dolls. Until …”
Following these ominous words, the camera pans to a giant Barbie, replacing the monolith from Kubrick’s early-man sequence. The girls who were shown playing with baby dolls in earlier scenes, smash them in slow motion after being wowed by Barbie, who winks at the camera at the end of the trailer.
We then get to see several scenes from the movie itself that don’t reveal much of the movie’s plot but give us a look at Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, and Simu Liu in character. The supporting cast also includes Ncuti Gatwa, America Ferrera, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Kate McKinnon, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, and Hari Nef, among others.
Barbie will be released on July 21, 2023 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

]]>According to Netflix’s official logline, “Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie… and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.”
Season 3 will be all about Emily trying to figure out the trajectory of both her love life and professional life. While trying to make her relationship with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) work, it’s obvious she’s still harboring feelings for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).
To make the whole thing even worse, Emily also finds herself in the midst of work crises. Season 2 ended with Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) asking her to join her new marketing firm and leave her job at Savoir behind after her old boss Madeline Wheeler (Kate Walsh) took over.
The third season will also star Ashely Park, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, and Bruno Gouery in their respective roles from the previous two seasons. It’s set to premiere on Netflix on December 21.

]]>Beyoncé was the most-nominated artist at this year’s Grammys with nine nods, and she eventually walked away with four awards: best dance/electronic recording (“Break My Soul”), best dance/electronic album (Renaissance), best traditional R&B performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”) and best R&B song (“Cuff It”).
