“Avengers: Endgame” Reaches $2 Billion Box Office Mark in Record Time

Avengers: Endgame already smashed a series of major records since its premiere, and its box office domination continued during its second weekend in the theaters. Marvel’s biggest hit crossed $2 billion mark, becoming the fastest film to reach this coveted number.

This isn’t the first record that Endgame broke, and something tells us it’s not going to be the last. It had the biggest worldwide opening of all time with a $1.2 billion, after earning $1 billion in just five days!

Its $2 billion record is even more impressive since the movie reached the threshold in only 11 days. To put things in perspective, the previous record holder, Avatar hit this number after 47 days in the theaters.

James Cameron’s sci-fi epic is currently the only film in history to ever earn more than Avengers: Endgame, with a total gross of $2.778 billion. At this point in time, it’s safe to predict that Marvel will manage to break this record – and possibly reach the $3 billion mark for the first time in history thanks to Endgame.
