As NME reports, BBC has confirmed the return of two popular shows: The League of Gentlemen, which originally ran from 1999 to 2002, and Alan Partridge, which also ended in 2002.
Patrick Holland, BBC controller, revealed that new episodes of Alan Partridge are in the early stages. He and Alex Moody, commissioning editor of comedy at BBC two, made the announcement while speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival: “It’s an exciting thing. The BBC is in need and who better? With Brexit and political unrest what broadcaster do we need to make sense of it all, but Partridge?”
We will see three new episodes of The League of Gentlemen later this year in honor of the show’s 20th anniversary since it first aired on BBC Radio.
