“Beverly Hills, 90210” Reboot in the Works

The hit 1990s series Beverly Hills, 90210 is getting (another!) reboot.

Deadline reports that a reboot of Aaron Spelling’s teen drama is being shopped to networks.

Rumors of a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot were kicked into high gear when Tori Spelling let slip that a follow up series was in very early stages of development back in March. Spelling teased the project again this weekend posting on Instagram that she has partnered with Jennie Garth on a 90210-related project.

The original series aired between 1990-2000 on Fox and starred Spelling, Garth, Jason Priestly, Shannen Doherty, Luke Perry, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris and others as students at West Beverly Hills High School.

According to the outlet, fans should expect an “untraditional reboot,” as some of the original 90210 has joined the reboot but they will not reprise their original characters! According to reports, the reboot will feature Garth, Spelling, Priestly, Ziering, Green and Carteris.

The project from CBS TV Studios hails from Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini, who also worked on the CW’s 90210 reboot, which ended in 2013 after five seasons.
