Beyoncé celebrates her 36th birthday with a “Formation” inspired photoshoot

Beyoncé celebrated turning 36 with family and friends, including former first lady, Michelle Obama, by channeling her Formation fashion.

Monday marked the singer’s, now mother of three, 36th birthday. The celebrations meant that all of the participants to dressed in Formation, meaning a big hat, braids and a statement necklace, same as Beyoncé wore in her 2016 music video of the same name. There was a slew of stars was in attendance like Serena Williams, Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, as well as the Queen Bey’s family. Mother, Tina Knowles and 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy also dressed the part.

The participants were photographed and the photos were posted by Beyoncé in order to draw attention to the relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey.

This star-studded celebration wasn’t the end of it though! Beyoncé’s husband, JAY-Z made an adorable gesture over the weekend, getting the crowd at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia to sing “Happy Birthday” to his wife, while she danced in the audience.
