Beyoncé Was Honored With Humanitarian Award At 2018 Wearable Art Gala

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy wore matching gold gowns to the 2nd Annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday and looked absolutely flawless!

The gala is hosted by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles and husband Richard Lawson.

One of the evening’s honorees was Beyoncé herself, who received the Humanitarian Award. Also honored was Jay-Z’s mom, Gloria Carter.

“There is something that feels very off about receiving this award from my mother,” Beyoncé said in her acceptance speech for their Humanitarian Award. “She raised me to believe that giving was not an option, but a privilege and a responsibility.”

Queen B donned a Falguni Shane Peacock custom gold gown with metallic cutouts and a gold train while fashionista in the making Blue Ivy wore a gold dress with a full skirt and a matching gold wig.

The 6-year-old also got to actively participate in the live auction event at the gala, bidding a whopping $17,000 on an acrylic painting of the actor Sidney Poitier! Vanity Fair reported that Blue Ivy eventually lost the bidding war to Tyler Perry who won the painting for $20,000.

Now that’s what you call a family night out!
