Beyoncé Makes Teenage Cancer Patient’s Dream Come True With FaceTime Call

Beyoncé made a very special phone call on Wednesday in an effort to fulfill Ebony Banks’ dream who is battling with cancer. She FaceTimed the Houston-based teen after a campaign started by her family and friends caught the music superstar’s attention.

A local station KIAH reports that Banks, whose pet name is “Ebob,” has spent most of her senior year in the hospital after being diagnosed with a rare form of stage four cancer. The Alief Independent School District and Banks’ closest family and friends held an early graduation ceremony in her honor this month.

Fan sites posted a video of the emotional encounter, and Banks couldn’t have been more excited to talk with her idol. During their face time call, it features Queen Bey waving to the camera and telling Ebob “I love you”.

The joint effort of Ebob’s classmates makes an incredible graduation present to her. The #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE has spread all throughout the social media and has paved the way to fulfill the wish of their friend.

“Beyonce is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyonce’s attention,” Karina Gutierrez, a high school student, told KTRK-TV.

“We try to make sure she has a smile on her face and to make her wishes come true,” Cristal Depaz added.
