The Dr. Seuss classic The Cat in the Hat is finally getting another adaptation and its cast will be as epic as it gets. Bill Hader will voice the titular character in Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s upcoming animated movie alongside Quinta Brunson and Bowen Yang.

Directed and written by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, the new take on the Dr. Seuss classic will see The Cat trying to cheer up a pair of siblings struggling to adjust to their new surroundings after moving to a new town.

In addition to Hader (Barry) as The Cat, the voice cast of this project will also include Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows), and Paula Pell (Girls5eva).

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation president Bill Damaschke said they’re overjoyed to take audiences of all ages on an adventure into the beloved world of The Cat in the Hat.

“With this incredible voice cast led by Bill Hader as the fun-loving, agent of chaos himself and our filmmakers Alessandro and Erica at the helm, we look forward to sharing this Seussian cinematic spectacle with audiences everywhere in 2026!” said Damaschke in a statement.

The Cat in the Hat already has a release date and it’s scheduled to hit the theaters on March 6, 2026.
