The Crow is the latest ’90s classic getting its modern-day remaining, and we finally know what to expect from it. The first trailer for Rupert Sanders’ remake is here, and it stars Bill Skarsgård as the titular hero and FKA Twigs as his soulmate Shelly Webster.

The Crow puts a modern twist on James O’Barr’s graphic novel, and it centers on Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA Twigs), soulmates who must catch up with demons of their dark past after being brutally murdered.

“Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right,” reads Lionsgate’s official synopsis.

In addition to the leading duo, the new version of The Crow will also star Isabella Wei, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila, and Jordan Bolger in supporting roles. Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) directed the film from a screenplay by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider.

This film marks a reboot of the 1994 classic starring the late Brandon Lee in his final film appearance. It will be released by Lionsgate on June 7.
