“Bill & Ted” Sequel Adds to Its Cast

Both new and returning cast members have joined the forthcoming sequel.

Per Variety, Amy Stoch and Hal Landon Jr. will reprise their original roles for Bill & Ted Face the Music. Landon will portray (again) Ted’s father, police chief Chet Logan, while newcomer Beck Bennett has been tapped to star as Deacon Logan, Ted’s younger brother. Stoch will reprise her role as Missy.

The three will star opposite Keanu Reeves as Ted “Theodore” Logan and Alex Winter in the role of Bill S. Preston. Also starring are Scott Mescudi, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine.

The followup feature is helmed by Dean Parisot from a script by original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.

The film will see catch up with the would-be rockers now middle-aged dads who are still trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns that only their tune can save life as we know it — forcing the duo to set out on a time-travel adventure to find inspiration for the song.

Bill & Ted Face the Music will hit theaters on August 21, 2020.
