With shooting slated to begin this year, Waltzing With Brando has cast one of its leads.
Variety confirms that 52-year-old Billy Zane has been set to play Marlon Brando in the forthcoming indie movie.
The film hails from writer and director Bill Fishman and will be produced by Zane himself.
The film is based on the 2011 memoir Waltzing With Brando: Planning a Paradise in Tahiti penned by the iconic architect, Bernard Judge. Judge was plucked by Brando to build the world’s first environmentally sustainable private retreat on a Tahitian island.
Casting is still underway and it is unknown who will play the character of Judge.
