Black Panther took the crown at another major award ceremony – the Screen Actor Guild Awards. Marvel’s smash hit defeated its rivals to score the trophy for the best performance by a cast in a motion picture.
Winners in the film category were pretty predictable, and all the front runners managed to pick up awards – with one notable exception. Emily Blunt won an award for the best supporting actress for her role in A Quiet Place, while the top contender Regina King wasn’t even nominated.
