Blue Ivy Carter Lands First Billboard Hot 100 Entry

Blue Ivy Carter proves she music industry royalty once more.

The eldest child of powerhouse couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z who was featured on her superstar mom’s The Lion King-inspired album has scored her first official entry onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Lion King: The Gift album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 54,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending July 25, according to Nielsen Music. “Brown Skin Girl” debuted at No. 76.

Blue Ivy is off to pretty good start but has quite a way to go to catch up to her mom’s 63 career solo entries and dad’s 100 career solo entries.
