Owain Yeoman (American Sniper) and Ralph Ineson (Ready One Player) are joining horror thriller, The Boy 2.
The sequel to the 2016 film hails from William Brent Bell and stars the previously announced Katie Holmes and Christopher Convery. Serving as the screenwriter for STXfilms’ follow-up to the 2016 horror pic is Stacey Menear.
The film centers on a young family unaware of the terrifying history of Heelshire Mansion, where they had just moved into. Holmes will play Liza the mother of Jude (Convery) who makes an unsettling new friend in the estate, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms. Yeoman will play Sean, the husband to Holmes’ Liza and Ineson has been cast in the role of Joseph.
The first installment, The Boy, grossed $68M worldwide.
Shooting of The Boy 2 is slated to begin in January in Victoria, BC.
