Brad Pitt and Peter Berg Working on Chris Cornell Documentary

A new documentary focusing on late grunge legend Chris Cornell is in the works. The documentary, which will chronicle the life and career of Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman, will be directed by Peter Berg. According to Variety, Brad Pitt and Cornell’s widow Vicky will serve as producers. Further details about the project remain unknown.

Pitt’s involvement in the project doesn’t come as a surprise, considering the fact that he was a longtime friend with the late musician. The 55-year-old actor even participated in the recent “I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell” concert, when he introduced Cornell’s daughter Toni to the stage. The event featured performances from numerous musicians including Foo Fighters, Metallica, Miley Cyrus, Josh Home, Brandi Carlile, Ryan Adams, and Chris Stapleton.

Prior to this, a compilation album was released in November 2018, containing Chris Cornell’s solo works as well as songs recorded with bands Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. The collection also included new song “When Bad Does Good” as well as previously unreleased versions and demos of Cornell’s popular hits.
