Tate Taylor gave us one of the best “girl power” casts in recent years with his breakout hit The Help, and he’s done it once again! The star-studded ensemble of his upcoming movie, Breaking News in Yuba County, features the likes of Allison Janney, Mila Kunis, Awkwafina and Regina Hall.
Janney will take a lead in this promising project, which tells a story of a woman who embraces the fame of having a missing husband after her cheating spouse dies of a heart attack. Kunis will play a local news anchor who happens to be her half-sister, and Hall will take on the role of a detective, who can tell there’s something fishy going on.
The A-list ensemble also includes Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians), Samira Wiley (Orange Is the New Black), Juliette Lewis (August: Osage County), Ellen Barkin (Animal Kingdom) and Wanda Sykes (Bad Moms).
Breaking News in Yuba County will start filming in Mississippi next month, and we can’t wait to see this wonderful cast in action when this movie hits the theaters.
