Brie Larson Lands Lead Role in Apple’s CIA Drama Series

It seems Brie Larson will have to hang up her Captain Marvel suit for a while since she’s getting ready to step into the shoes of another amazing character. The Oscar winning-actress just landed the lead role in an upcoming CIA drama series, ordered by Apple.

This female-driven project will be on based on Amaryllis Fox’s upcoming memoir Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA. It’s been described as a “provocative and contemporary look at a young woman’s journey in the CIA, told through the prism of her closest relationships.”

Megan Martin, known for her work on Animal Kingdom, is in final negotiations to serve as executive producer and screenwriter of this exciting series. Lynette Howell Taylor, who recently received an Oscar nod for A Star Is Born, will also be one of executive producers.Brie Larson will assume the same responsibility.

It’s still unclear when we’ll get to see this series. The Oscar-winner is currently busy promoting her new film Captain Marvel, and she’ll reprise the same role in Avengers: Endgame next month.
