CBS Film “Lexi” Adds to its Cast

According to Deadline, the forthcoming comedy from Bad Moms directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, has added some major names to its cast.

Rose Byrne (Instant Family), Justin Hartley (This Is Us), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), Ron Funches (Trolls), and Charlyne Yi (Twin Peaks) have been set to star in Lexi. They join the previously announced Michael Peña and Alexandra Shipp.

“We are extremely grateful to have such an incredible cast,” said Lucas. “Clearly, they haven’t watched any of our prior work.”

“Speaking for everyone perpetually enamored with, and increasingly terrified by, how well their phone knows them, I look forward to this extraordinary group of actors and filmmakers exploring the side effects of too much tech,” said CBS Films President Terry Press. “I think audiences will agree that some romances are better when you disconnect.”

Lexi explores what happens when people love their phone more than anything else in their life. Lexi, an all too serious AI assistant whose sole purpose is making life better, will be voiced by Byrne.
