Céline Dion is Getting a Biopic Treatment in “The Power of Love”

Céline Dion faced many hardships before becoming one of Canada’s biggest music icons, and we’ll get a chance to fully experience her amazing journey in a new biopic The Power of Love.

This exciting project will be directed by French filmmaker Valérie Lemercier, who’ll also be in charge of portraying the lead role. Gaumont Studio will be responsible of bringing The Power of Love to life, and their head of international production Cecile Gaget believes this project is in the safe hands.

“Valérie Lemercier is impressive onstage. She’s a powerhouse who knows how to move and how to dance. And she’s a perfectionist and an overachiever in many ways like Dion,” explained Gaget.

Lemercier agreed to get on board after learning more about singer’s extraordinary journey, which transformed little girl from Quebec into the greatest pop star on the planet.

Céline Dion grew up in a family of 14 children, started singing at a very young age and went through many hardships along the way, especially after losing her manager and husband René Angélil.
