The wait is almost over for the next musical drama to be released by NBC.
We’ll get a look inside computer programer Zoey, played by Jane Levy, head and heart through the most popular songs.
Zoey says in the first look video, “One second I’m getting an MRI, and the next second, people are singing to me!”
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is about Zoey, who after experiencing an unusual event in an MRI machine starts hearing the inner thought and feelings of everyone around her. In the beginning, Zoey thinks she’s going crazy, but with her neighbor Mo’s help, she starts appreciating her unique ability and her newfound way of seeing the world.
The short video has Zoey’s coworkers and friends singing to Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker,” The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction,” and DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.”
Also starring in the series are Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Peter Gallagher, and Mary Steenburgen.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist premieres January 7.
