Being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is an honor of a lifetime, and we finally know who’ll be vying for that opportunity this year. This list of nominees for the Class of 2024 is in, and it includes the likes of Cher, Mariah Carey, and Oasis.

John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, announced the list of contenders and said it reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates.

“Continuing in the true spirit of Rock & Roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps,” said Sykes in a press release.

In addition to Cher, known as the goddess of pop, the R&B sensation Mariah Carey, and the British rock band Oasis, the list of nominees also includes nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige, rock singer Lenny Kravitz, and the late Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor.

Ozzy Osbourne received an individual nomination, after being inducted into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame with Black Sabbath in 2006. Several previous nominees are in the running again, including A Tribe Called Quest and Dave Matthews Band

The list of inductees will be announced in April, and they’ll be honored at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2024 Induction Ceremony in Cleveland this fall.
