Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is one of Netflix’s biggest hits of 2018, and we won’t be parting ways with this teen witch any time soon. The popular streaming service is getting ready to bring her back for additional two seasons.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina offers a darker look at the world Archie Comics heroine Sabrina Spellman, as she navigates the pressures of living a double-life. Kids who grew up reading about her adventures couldn’t wait to see her in a new light, and that’s exactly what Netflix gave them.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa thanked his partners for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch and said he’s thrilled to continue her incredible story.
Despite the fact they never reveal streaming numbers, Chilling Adventures received good reviews and this quick renewal indicates it was a hit with the viewers, as well.
The second season will premiere on 5 April, 2019, and Netflix will bring it back for another 16 episodes spread across seasons 3 and 4. Production should start sometime next year, with Kiernan Shipka returning as the titular teenage witch.
