Chris Evans Joins Daniel Craig in Murder Mystery “Knives Out”

Ever wanted to watch Captain America and James Bond solve a murder mystery together? Rian Johnson is here to make your dream come true as he just cast Marvel actor Chris Evans in his upcoming crime drama Knives Out.

This exciting project tells the story of a detective trying to solve a modern murder mystery in a classic whodunit style. Daniel Craig was cast in the lead role after his scheduled cleared up because filming of Bond 25 was delayed.

Chris Evans is the first supporting player to join him, and the news of his casting comes shortly after his retirement from the MCU became official. He recently wrapped up filming Avengers 4, and bid farewell to his most iconic character in an emotional tweet. Evans said playing Captain America for the past eight years had been an honor and thanked everyone for amazing memories.

Knives Out isn’t the only promising project Evans will be working on after taking off his superhero costume. He recently landed first major TV role in Defending Jacob, the tale of renowned district attorney whose son has been accused of murder. The Marvel star will also play the lead in the gritty indie The Devil All the Time, disaster thriller Greenland and modern-day retelling of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
