We’ve seen Chris Hemsworth play many iconic characters over the years, and Prince Charming may be the next one in line. Paul King is plotting a new film inspired by this dreamy character for Disney, and the Australian superstar is in talks to play the lead role.

Paul King is developing this project for Disney, with Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker writing the screenplay by his side. This film is right down King’s alley since he’s best known as the writer/director of the Paddington franchise, in addition to recently working on the acclaimed musical Wonka starring Timothée Chalamet.

Not much is known about this project apart from the creative team behind it. It’s unclear if the film will be live-action or animated and if the titular Prince Charming will be an original character or explore the origin story of one of the love interests from Disney’s beloved classics, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White.

Hemsworth is no stranger to starring in fairy tale-themed films, having previously played the Huntsman in Snow White and the Huntsman and its sequel The Huntsman: Winter’s War. He’s best known for portraying Thor in several MCU blockbusters, and his recent credits include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Transformers One.
